Highly calendered papers, so-called glassines, are siliconised on both sides. These release liners are then used as release material in adhesive tape systems. Due to the siliconisation, the papers ensure that a constant separating force can be defined and maintained. The paper supports the simple, crease-free application of the adhesive tape.
